sobrietyWelcome to the Sobriety community on Dreamwidth. You can introduce yourself here, if you like. I moderate a low-traffic sobriety community on LJ called clean_n_sober and wanted something similar here.
Just a bit about myself and my recovery: I am in AA and have been sober, thank God, since July 25, 1982. I haven't always worked an AA program, but I'm at a point now when I happier involved with it than not. That said, I recognize that there are many ways for people to achieve sobriety. All I can do is tell you what worked for me. I sponsor people (just one woman right now), I have a home group, and I have service commitments, including acting as GSR for my home group.
Many years ago, I was involved with the Recovery Forum on Compuserve, and it was a great place for online recovery. I'd like to either make or find something like that again. Perhaps this will be the time and the place. I hope so.
